#14. What can I offer you? More than you'd see on the surface!

In short letter I convey the spirit of my writing in a poetic format.

Dear Friend

Let me translate, as best I can, a beautiful poem...

There aren't many days anymore,

when I dare to explore,

into my own soul.

For, I am petrified,

not a single string, I find,

will still sound true and kind.

translated by Uki D. Lucas. See the original below.

I like to write. It is my passion.

I would like to write you personally,
and help you start your day,
with a positive note.

Not just positive,
but seeped into the deep philosophy of Eastern Buddhist and Western Stoic teachers.

Not just philosophy,
but a lifetime of experience,
of building struggling startup companies,
delivering multi-billion dollar projects,
hiring and, unfortunately, firing many people.

Of stress and sacrifice.
Of raising three daughters.

Mentoring and teaching anyone willing to listen.

and share with a nerdy kid you knew at school.

The original poem in Polish

Są takie chwile, gdy się nie śmie badać

swej własnej duszy, bo się człowiek lęknie,

że ani jednej nie znajdzie w niej struny,

co potrącona, jeszcze czysto dźwięknie.
